The PanIIT Fund is a social fund that is structured to make financial interventions in the social entrepreneurship sector. These interventions are carried out in conjunction with the PanIIT Foundation which is a CSR initiative to aggregate the mandatory CSR funding from corporates. The interventions are primarily of a technical nature and are addressed to correct market failure and overcome technological challenges.
PanIIT Fund is registered under the Companies Act 2012 and regulated by the Securities Exchange Board of India under the Alternate Investment Fund Regulations 2012. The Fund does not solicit any investment from the public. Investments are primarily accepted from eminent IIT Alumni from their own personal resources, family offices or investment companies. The Fund does not accept government grants or access public funds in the form of debt.
